MORE NEIL NEWS
New 40th Anniversary Edition of the Biography of Crosby, Stills & Nash (with a lot of Young featured, too!)
Crosby, Stills & Nash: The Biography by Dave Zimmer,
fully illustrated with more than 350 photographs by Henry Diltz
(the official photographer at Woodstock), takes readers inside the lives
of CSN as well as Neil Young (particularly during his days in
Buffalo Springfield and sessions/tours with CSN&Y).
More than 40 years may have passed since CSN sang together for the
first time in Laurel Canyon, California, but this book takes you right back
to that scene, with exclusive comments from the CSN&Y guys as well
as Joni Mitchell, Grace Slick, John Sebastian and many other musicians,
family members and friends, carrying through all of the many twists and
turns of their lives on into 2008. A musical journey through the past
that also sails to the present-day, with words and pictures you won’t
find anywhere else.

Four
Way Street: The Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Reader
Dave Zimmer has also put together a book called "4 Way Street",
which presents an exploration of CSN via articles, interviews, and excerpts
spanning from 1969 to 2002. In this book, editor Zimmer has attempted to let
the story of CSNY tell itself, not from the present looking back, but from
the time of the group's inception outward. Interviews from Rolling Stone,
Crawdaddy, Creem, Melody Maker, and other publications gave speaking voice
to the young artists at the time, and Four Way Street
preserves these interviews and articles long after those in original print have been thrown away.
